If you’re planning on having an outdoor public event, portable restrooms are a must. Having bathroom facilities readily available will help ensure your guests’ comfort and the likelihood of them staying longer.

If you’re planning an event where there will be plenty of food and drink, you may need to supply more portable restrooms than what you may have originally estimated. When there is a wide array of food and drink, people tend to use the restroom more frequently than usual. The average individual will go to the restroom once every four hours. However, if you are throwing food and beverage into the mix (especially if there is going to be alcohol), then you can reasonably anticipate everyone going to the bathroom once every two to two-and-a-half hours.

People tend to get very impatient when “nature calls”, and they hate having to wait in line, so it is crucial that there are enough portable bathrooms to accommodate everyone. At the very least, there should be enough bathroom facilities so that your guests do not have to wait more than 10 minutes to relieve themselves.
