The holidays are over. People are relaxing, they have been wooed and filled with promotions, cards, gifts, and good will and now you can relax and enjoy the fruit of your labor, right?
Wrong.
In the real world your task is just beginning. It is time to send out thank you notes to customers who purchased from you during the Christmas season, time to update your records and check anniversaries and birthdays. And with other businesses relaxing it may be a good time to consider an after the holidays event.
At the very least January is the perfect time for an employee appreciation event. Your employees worked hard during the holidays. They deserve some appreciation. Pens, bonuses, gift baskets, and other items are a great way to let them know that you appreciate the hard work that they did last year to keep your business successful.
Remember that your employees and clients are the most important part of your business…you would not be in business very long without them.
