Many customers take it for granted that certain types of businesses will hand out some sort of gift during the Holiday season. Whether it is something edible, something practical, or something fun depends on the type of business and the relationship that business has with its clients.
For example, a company that changes the oil in cars could get away with giving away key chains to clients while that would not be something a bank would be able to get away with. A company that has clients that spend millions of dollars with them could not give those high dollar clients calendars and maintain respect, but a hair salon could easily give away a calendar.
